Taj 51 Buckingham Gate, suites and residences has launched the limited edition Mystic Christmas Afternoon tea available to guests and visitors to the hotel from 2nd December. The truly magical experience will spread festive joy amongst diners, as they step into a winter wonderland and indulge in a sparkling Christmas Afternoon Tea at Kona. The covid-complaint dining experience, is perfect for families and friends to enjoy in the relaxed ambience of the five-star hotel’s restaurant, after a busy day of Christmas shopping.
The festive Afternoon Tea priced at £55 per person, begins with a spiced winter warmer hot chocolate drink, along with a selection of cranberry and plain scones. The variety of savoury treats includes a festive egg mayo and mustard cress pinwheel, Rosemary roast beef roulade with English mustard cream, smoked salmon and orange flavoured horseradish sandwich and a nostalgic Yorkshire Ham, cheddar and Branston pickle sandwich. The Christmas fairies will also be spreading festive sparkle with a selection of unmissable sweet treats on the menu:
• Spicy gianduja Chocolate gateaux topped with twinkling snowflakes
• A flavoursome Christmas Pistachio Cremeux cone
• Marron glace dome Snowman adorned with Bakewell tart decor
• A delicious colourful Christmas tree sat upon a nougatine snap
• The popular Christmas dessert, a creamy yule log enriched with a Baileys twist
