The Polish Pavilion – The Poetics of Necessity – will exhibit windows donated by Londoners. Inspired by the WINDOW project, which sends reusable windows to Ukrainians rebuilding their homes destroyed in bombings and air raids, the windows found in Somerset House during the London Design Biennale will join those which are sent to Kyiv and Kharkiv from Warsaw, becoming part of humanitarian aid efforts.
The Malta Pavilion – Urban Fabric – will hold the central spot in Somerset House’s courtyard and create a 'street-like' layout that enables the audience to meet and collaborate while interacting directly with the installation, which strives to encourage discourse around the need for sustainable design.
