The Queen Elizabeth Hall (QEH) is part of London's Southbank Centre Complex (the other two main buildings being the Royal Festival Hall and the Hayward) which was built for the Festival of Britain in 1951. The Queen Elizabeth Hall is primarily a music venue that hosts classical, jazz, and avant-garde music events (such as chamber orchestras, quartets, choirs, and opera) as well as dance performances.
There are two auditoriums at the Queen Elizabeth Hall, one with 900 seats and a smaller one (called the Purcell Room) with 370 seats. You can also shop, eat and drink at the Elizabeth Hall, whilst enjoying view of the River Thames and the skyline of the city.
