People go to restaurants to sit and eat the food.
The food overall is really good.
Someone mentioned about waiting 15 Mins. This is not a fast food takeway!!!
Thats how much time it takes in any restaurant you go to.
Either way, some of the negative coments on here are very unfair.
I admit, when it is busy, their service may not be good and they can not accomodate large volumes but please, they are a small business, and maybe in the future, they will get bigger but thats no reason for knocking them down.
As far as oredering is concerned, when you go Nando's, you have to get up and go order, no one comes to you to take the order but no one seems to complain about that.

well i have no idea how anyone rates more than 1 for this. The only thing i can think of is that its family friends of the owners. It is dirty as soon as you step in. Sitting at the sticky tables surrounded by ketchup sprayed walls. Don't wait fro a menu you will have to pick one up yourself!! if anyone is absurd enough to go there be sure to ask about price changes to the menu! Asked for screening around the table and saw that they had dividers, they replied 'sorry they are too heavy?!!' this should have been my cue to leave really. I asked 'why have then then' the waiters answer 'one moment i be back'..he never came back??!!we ordered the rump steak was informed that prices had changes and it was a tenner rather then 8quid and same price if you choose one side or two sides??!! ordered a kebab in a pita or naan bread, waiter said they have neither just roti, it came in a wrap. The kebabs were dry microwaved in a wrap with no sauce. got forks that had food behind one of them, the other two were sticky. told the waiter and he starts wiping it with his cloth??? asked for drinks as on menu a coke a diet coke and water, was then told they don't have coke it is pepsi. the whole experience just gets worst up until working the price out. One of our sides never came, food was served one order at a time, so we had to share the food as it came. Literally as we finished one the 2nd order came then finished that then the 3rd and finally got drinks.
the staff is incompetent.
the place is filthy!
the food taste dry as a bone, only coated on top with sauch but the whole chicken in peri peri marinaded was far from marinaded, it was soooo dry and flavourless inside. the best part was learning not to come back here again. would not recommend it,would score it a zero if possible.

I disagree on the food comments. I have been going to jungle braii regularly (at least twice a month) since the place opened three years ago. ALthough the service can be a littel slow, lets remember the food is cooked to order like sahara grill. Agree the place is small but if you book your table or go at non peak times/days there is never an issue.

My family and I heard about this place over the HMC halal website. We went their on new years day around 1930. The place was so so busy.. We waited 20 mins for a table. The place is small and was struggling to accommodate clients. Once seated and ordered , our food came in 15 mins!! We were disappointed of the overall experience of a steak adventure. The chicken steak was undercook and tasted of boiled chicken instead of grill flavour. Common guys you are paying over £10 for a steak, quality should be a must!!! We didnt who was the waiter and who's who!. They need to organise themselves, get more staff on busy time. I still think Sahara Grill has got that egde but you have to pay the price.

service is average, but lets face it .. its wood st. not the best place to dine. however the food is damn good.. the best in east london and probably many more miles! the owner has just opened a branch on bricklane. hard to believe but they must be doing something right. how does it compare to other halal grill houses ?,
its competing really well mashaAllah. whenever i go its far busier than most takeaway/ restaurants, and thats why they lack on service. the food is good to handle!

The seating area is not bad considering the outlook, which gives an impression of a typical takeaway. We ordered grilled prawns, skinned potatos & lamb chops as starters and T-bone stake for main course. The food tasted brilliant, but I must say that the waiter turned up with everything in one go, so by the time we finished starters the steaks went cold. The atmosphere was friendly and family orientated, but the over all service has room for improvement. One thing that I didn't like was that, in today's day & age, they don't accept card payments, which meant I had to take a quick walk to the nearest cash point (not far) to settle the bill. Will I go again? Well, I think I will but I will only order one thing so it remains warm when it arrives on the table.

As the other commentator mentions you would think it just another takeaway place similar to the others in this area. But the foods fantastic and reasonably priced. When I went it was extremely busy and there was quite a wait but the service overall was good

From the outside; this looks like a typical takeaway; however the main seating area is on the other side of the restaurant. Its a small ordinary room which can seat approximately 20 to 30 people at a maximum. However the food is AMAZING! We tasted everything from the prawns; to the steak and even the chicken and chops. Everything tasted fresh; well seasoned and beautifully cooked. This is not a place to go to for ambiance; but it is definitely a place to go for great food at an extraordinarily good price!
