We used to go Red Dragon on a regular basis until one day when I took my family and they charged my Children as Adult price. I asked the owner my child is only 8 years old and my other child 10 years old and the reply was "it's based on height and not weight" I asked what's the height but the owner staggered and was unable to imediately answer. I will never ever in a million years will go back there out of principle.
My advice to the owner is to change adult price and children price sign. As clearly they dont uphold what they stand for. My suggestion would be to change it to £££ for so and so height and under and ££ so and so height and over.
The most stupid restaurant Ive been too

This dingy so called Chinese restaurant is poorly lit with good reason; the lighting disguises the sub-standard food which is only equalled by the shockingly contemptible service. The waiters serve with a begrudging attitude I would compare with a child that has had their toys taken away as punishment and will only have them back by performing a task.
In future I will walk around the block to circumvent this establishment rather than inflict its painful sight upon my eyes once more.

I went there a second time after succumbing to my friends desperation. The service was slow and ridiculous, the lighting was terrible, the plates were barely clean. The food was bland, I was refused tap water and offered to buy bottle water which they only pour half of into a glass. The atmosphere was dim, waiters seemed extremely intrigued with what items I was choosing. I will definately not be going there again. Dont be fooled by the fact it is a 'halal' chinese. We are in london and I am sure there is at least one other halal chinese place available.
If you are wanting chinese food, I would sincerely recommend the restraunt opposite Sign li.

The premises are dimly lit - unable to distinguish one dish from another. When actually tasting the 'variety' of fare on offer, it seemed that all the 'Chinese'
meals were cooked with the same 'chinese-indian' sauce/paste.
The word 'ambience' would not be used to describe this tawdry place. The staff continually mumbled when you attempted to converse with them. No assistance was offered in explaining the menu. Even though the place was almost empty, the waiters were too busy with their personal small talk to be attentive towards their customers. Everytime, they had to be beckoned they almost stepped forward begrudgingly. The final insult was that we were being charged for basics which would be available free of charge two doors down the road.
Even some of the smaller Indian Cafes-cum-Restaurants not far from Red Dragon are offering better food at substantially cheaper prices witha smile and far superior service.
Definately one to avoid: Simply on the basis that it is not a genuine 'Chinese' Restaurant (amongst other numerous factors) - The owners seem to have decided to dispense with providing 'Indian' food because there are too many Indian Restaurants and probably thought that changing it to a 'Chinese' Restaurant would somehow increase the income overnight - forgetting to change the chefs, the staff and the light bulbs - which was probably the prime reason it wasn't busy in the first place.
It's a shame as the area could do with several more Chinese Restaurants!

Asked them to put the light up they refused abruptly and told us the couldn't, then to top it off my friend was eating there Lamb curry and he found raw pink pieces.
The food is very average, price is too high and you get no prawn dishes if you go lunch time.
To sum it all up, I would never go there again, would advise anyone thinking of going to not bother maybe halal but there's plenty of better aces around.
They lack in customer service.all round place is not worth bothering with

My friend wife had a bottle of water with her already so we just asked the staff member if we can have an empty glass which he denied rudely because they serve only the water bought from the restaurant. I went to the till and said can I pay for the water and get a empty glass as my friends wife is not well and will prefer to drink the water which she has with her. I am not sure if it was the owner and some other staff but they both said no it is no possible to drink outside bought water in our restaurant. We didn't understand the rude behaviour and decided to leave the restaurant without eating our buffet which we just filled to start with starter.
One of the staff said he won't take the money which I insisted will not leave without paying which other staff agreed to take the money. We told them we are regular customers to your restaurant but this behaviour when you know the lady with us is not well is rude. We told them they are not giving us an empty glass even we are ready to pay them for the water but we will prefer to drink our own water in a glass which we can drink without even telling them. We said they are not understanding customer value so we might not come back which they said IT IS FINE DON'T HAVE TO COME BACK. The food is fine but such behaviour will never make us go back and word to mouth will definitely give negative wave in my social life for this restaurant. There are loads of restaurant with nice food but I prefer to go where there is nice environment.hope review is helpful.

What bothered me the most was that they decided to charge my 11 year old who looks like a child and no one could fault that he was under 12 an adult buffet charge, but they didn’t even tell me that they were charging me this amount. I noticed as the bill seemed high and when I asked the owner told me that he charges for buffet based on height and not age. I thought that was despicable as surely if there is any doubt that the child could be above 12 they should ask the parents first and there was no sign in their leaflets or on the notice board that this is their policy.
I felt that the owner was rude and did not even thank me at the end, even though I did not say much to what he decided to do without even consulting me.
I would not go back!!!

Much better restaurants in The West End, Chinatown. The absolute worst chinese food I've ever tasted. The only thing good about that place is some of the staff. They use the cheapest products and it's overpriced. I dine out probably 4 times a week and have eaten all over the world. This is by far the worst chinese food I've ever had and will never go back.

I'm a doctor and had taken some of my colleagues.
Now as for the review the food was very tasty and mouth watering, but the staff were not as we expected they were not as friendly and welcoming as the restaurant looks.
Guys you need to brush up your customer services skills a little and be a little more friendly and welcome.
Overall great food and reasonable price...

The staff are ok, but not so friendly (the 2 women there never smile). Have been there several times, once before 5pm but got charged for evening rate as they charge by when you would norally finish your meal.
The food is better than the staff. If you would like a halal chinese and on a budget, you have to go to Red Dragon.
My faveourite is the chicken and sweetcorn soup, sesame prawn toast and the rice with coconut chicken curry.
