I have eaten in many Chinese restaurants over the years but have never come across one that charges £8 for a pot of Jasmin Tea. We were a family of two adults and 3 primary school children. I ordered some tea expecting the pp £1.80 charge to be per pot ..I was informed by the staff that the charge is per person and not per pot. They said they had to wash up the cups! Surely having just spent £60 for our meal and disputed this astronomical charge for a pot of tea we would have been met with better customer service. Very disappointed and won't be going back although the food was nice. Shame!

I absolutely love this restaurant, the staff are extremely friendly and they recognised us when we came back a second time. The service was exceptional and the food is very high quality. It is now my number one restaurant for non anglicised Chinese food - which is awesome!!!

As a takeaway service the food is very good, tastes fresh and is delicious. The king prawn with salt and pepper is mouthwateringly nice as well as their mixed starter for one. I usually order from Peking Chef once a week as it's so very tasty.

My first experience of eating at the Peking Chef was while at work, luckily I work in an office with approx 30 people that all at one time have tried different types of combination meals, with all great results, I won't lie, there was one only complaint from a fiend who said the chow main with vegetables was dry, I can't comment on that I didn't taste it.. As for me I now make it my main takeaway, even though I live more than a few miles away.. Staff perfect, Food Wonderful, Settings, Atmospheric.. Apologies for any spelling errors, This should not reflect on this eating establishment..
