Ex-Mezzo's head chef Anthony Morrison has overseen the renaissance that has replaced the Tex-Mex menu with what he describes as 'fresh, modern British Cuisine with an emphasis on quality produce', although the classic american burger and steak remain. Hidden away upstairs is an additional dining area blending rustic oak tables with candles and exotic flowers on a backdrop of gold-leafed walls. After dinner, guests are invited to the club downstairs where they can dance, drink, relax and socialise in laid-back and intimate surroundings.

A relatively expensive place to go for a quiet drink however if you like a nice place with a friendly atmosphere and plush surroundings this is for you. Great outdoor area which is perfect for those warm summer evenings and often they feature live entertainment too.

Is the Essex Serpent the smallest pub or bar in the UK? It's got to be close... oh no, there's one in Brighton that's got room for just one punter isn't there? Anyway... notable for it's size - although there is a downstairs. It's a bit of an old man's pub, but that's pretty cool if you want to go somewhere just for a quite one.

I played a gig here once. The venue is pretty small but with a decent crowd in there's a great atmosphere for rockin. The beer was very expensive as I remember but seeing as it's in Covent Garden you can't really expect anything else.
