Costas Grill

I discovered this place since moving to the area recently and to my astonishment the food here is great, obviously the place is dated but I don't go there for the pretencious light installations and arty farty decor that other restaurants might have to attract customers...I go there because I genuinely love the food. I visited Cyprus last summer and this is the only place I've come across so far that serves genuine Greek Cypriot food.

Personally I think it's extremely good value for money, large portions for extremely reasonable prices and has a wonderful little garden at the back which I only discovered this month (as it's only open in the summer) and I felt like I was on holiday in Cyprus again! The kleftiko is one of my favourite dishes...go ahead, take a chance and see what you discover like I did.

Being Greek, I didn’t think I would find anywhere in London that served proper Greek food, but the food was extremely good, I went with my family who all seemed to think the same. It was just like being back in Greece again, good Greek traditional food, well priced and good value for money! The staff were extremely friendly too! Granted that the decor may be a bit dated but this does not affect the quality of the food or the service!

This family run restaurant has been around since well before any of the modern restaurants in London... a nice, friendly, well run family restaurant which is well worth going to! Bear in mind if you are going at night or the weekend…..you will probably have to book a table because it gets quite busy from my experience….give it a try!
