I am writing this review as a warning to anybody even contemplating ordering food for collection from Ochre in Chiswick. I ordered a promising chef's reccommended Chilli Mogo which was apparently chips in spicy seasoning, what i received was brick hard chips swamped in a salty thick inedible gravy! The Tikka Masala was equally salty and also inedible and two out of the three naan breads that we ordered were burned while the peshwari naan was doughy and undercooked. I had previously ordered a takeaway from this restuarant and when i got home found one of the naan breads was missing and a chicken dish was made with Lamb instead, however the food was on this occasion edible which is why i decided to give them another chance. I honestly wish i hadn't bothered as the food was shockingly bad and has worsened considerably since the last time i ate from this restaurant. I have given them a 1 out of ten only because there was no option to award a score of zero! Avoid this place like the plague!

When we visited Ochre Lounge for the first and last time on Saturday night at 8:00pm we were the only party in the restaurant for almost our entire meal. I'm still not sure how they can call themselves a bar without a Drink Menu. We were given a choice of only one red and one white wine, with no information about where it was from. No specialty drinks were offered at all. Our waitress was very rude and abrupt. After only five minutes of sitting down she was asking for our order including drinks which we had all of two seconds to decide on. There were no dinner specials offered, and no recommendations made. Our waitress seemed very unfamilair with the menu as she forgot to bring the sauce which was to be served with our hot appetizer. We pointed it out on the menu as Chutney and what she brought us was what she called "Spicy Sauce." It was obvious that she didn't know what was in it. The presentation of the dishes were sloppy at best. My Saffron Rice was served in a puddle of oil and our Char Grilled Lamb, was black and very tough. The vegetables on the cast iron plate that came with it were tiny little slivers of over cooked onions and peppers. When our table was cleared the sauce spilled everywhere and was not cleaned up before our entrees arrived. We were Told to just keep our flat wear, when the dishes were stacked and taken away, food was again spilling all over the table. No dessert suggestions or coffee drinks were offered, as the waitress seemed to busy talking on the phone to ask us if we wanted anything else. With a nice patio and a great location on the high street, it is disappointing to see a new restaurant making so many simple, yet important mistakes from the start. We live in the neighborhood and are always looking for a new place to drink and dine with outdoor seating. We would have loved to dine outside last night but that wasn't offered either. Too bad because the music inside was a bit loud for a empty restaurant
