I have lived in the area for 8 years and briefly started getting Indian from another establishment HOWEVER returned to Chillies as good value for money and great friendly staff.......good home delivery service too......could do with a computer system that keeps your address details when you call as would save time when ordering............still a great place.....COLIN

I think this place is great.. DEPRIVED AREA give it a rest wheelie does it really make a difference to your taste buds if you live in a **** area !! Their service was really good all the guys in there treat you like royalty obviously they didn't give the same attention to wheelie but they do not seem like the kind of people that would discriminate a guy just because he's in a wheelchair, if that's what your point is!! I think chillies is one of the best restaurants in that area....

On many occassions, I have had Chillies deliver to my house and I will say that the food is fantastic and very reasonably priced.
My comment is actually directed at WheelieUK - why would you try "on numerous occassions" to gain access when you could get them to deliver, were you trying to make a point? Two observations on your last comment "The store does have a very good local reputation for quality food but given it is in a deprived area of London, not sure that is a bonus." - why bother to even attempt to get served here when you clearly imply that residents in this deprived area don't know what good quality food is and 2) last time I looked it was a restaurant not a store!! PS. Hope you managed to eat Indian cuisine somewhere else

Firstly, the advertised address was incorrect. This is NOT in St Johns Wood but Harrow Rd(Westbourne Park). Secondly the store has refused access to wheelchair users, of which I am one, on numerous occassions. (I Tried on more than one occassion as I was told that wheelchair users couldnt get in when it was very busy because of fire regulations. When I tried again with 3 staff and 2 customers, I was still refused access becuase "We dont allow pushchairs".)

The store does have a very good local reputation for quality food but given it is in a deprived area of London, not sure that is a bonus.

On ethical grounds I would give this one a miss.

I was really impressed by this restaurant. It is immediately inviting, with friendly and helpful staff and a very cool atmosphere. The food was well prepared, quick and tasted fantastic. There is a lot of choice for vegetarians too. I went in the evening, but noticed they also do special deals for lunchtime, so will try to make that a port of call! Only downside to this place for some people maybe that it's not right next to a tube, but is on good bus routes and not too far to walk from Portobello Road. It's certainly worth the effort in any case.
