We live in Imperial wharf too. Although the place is always quiet, the food is fantastic, we have been around 10 times and also had a takeaway. It's not cheap to eat in, but it's great quality and good portions too. We actually get on well with the staff. Just wish it was busier.

Disappointing I'm afraid. In a word, I'd describe the experience as unfriendly.

We are residents of Imperial Wharf and used to visit often back when it was Memsaab and then Memories of India. Now in it's newest guise under of the Spice of India things have really gone downhill. New management and staff that have no idea about service! The chef is also new, but to be fair the food does remain edible, if a little pricey.

We've given them two chances since the change, but will not be going back.

First time we used a voucher of their website for 25% off food. They hadn't updated the voucher so it still said "memories of..." instead of "spice of...". They wouldn't accept it. This was not politely handled.

Thought we'd give them another go. This time they had changed the website (but only the name - everything else was the same). They accepted our voucher this time.

This next bit may seem petty, but it was the attitude of the staff that really let them down... After ordering our food they asked us if we would like popadums. We found out at the end they had charged us a surprise £4 for them. They used to be complimentary so we queried it and just got a shrug and they charged us anyway. So rude!

Anyway, the place is always empty, so hopefully they will go bankrupt soon and then we can get a new restaurant that treats it's customers as it should.
