We mainly use Chameli for takeaway - they do home delivery in the area, which is great. The food is absolutely outstanding, and superior to any other local Indian we know. It's also a nice place to eat in, with excellent service.

I have to add that their tarka daal is the best I've ever eaten anywhere!

i love these kind of places, not flash, not expensive but they make an effort, appreciate your custom and most importantly make great food. admittedly it might not be somewhere you take a girl on a first date, however curry and after dinner activities are not the perfect combination anyway. but if it's very good curry you want with an ice cold cobra there's nowhere better

new menu coming in a week ot two i hear, so worth visiting again if it's been a while

I fully agree with the last review. Went to this restaurant on Friday night with my girlfriend following the suggestion of one of her work colleagues. It doesn't look special but the moment you taste the food you know you are in a superior indian restaurant and that the food has been prepared by a good chef with fresh ingredients. All the dishes we ate were lovely, and service faultless. This is definitely my preferred choice for an Indian in the area and I'm planning to visit again very soon.

If your looking around for good quality Indian food around Archway/Tufnell Park with very reasonable prices, this is the place. Ok the interior seems stuck in the 70's a bit but this adds character to the place. Starters from £3 and mains start from £6- great value and the food is very very good for these prices. The service was also very good as is the case with most indian restraurants - the manager went out of his way to ensure we were satisfied and he had a great sense of humour.
One downside is they do not have a great selection of desserts and they had no expresso coffee - hey, but this is an indian not an Italian..
Great value if your around this area.

This is a gem of a restaurant. Extremely friendly and courteous service combine with an interesting and delicous selection of dishes, very different to the familiar list of identical curries you will find in most of London's Indian restaurants.
