Exactly the same thing happened to me once! However get past that you have really fantastic food. Expensive for a local certainly but completely delicious and the lady in question is actually really nice ( if you don't order cheese with seafood!) recommend broccoli and chilli pasta.

We went there to celebrate a birthday, but the place is not the best option for such events: it is kind of cold, very expensive and the service is the worst ever. A friend of ours "dared" to ask for cheese on seafood course. Suddenly the owner came and took the plate away from him warning him that she "was not going to serve cheese with that dish, it was kind of an offence towards her recipe that he dared to ask for that, so could not bring cheese to the table". She was also extremely rude and behaved like she was the offended (and paying) customer. A pride-drama act that ruined the entire atmosphere. I would have understood recommending something else to the customer (but leaving the plate in front of him in the meantime, not taking it away from him), suggesting him to try with no cheese before, or even making up some excuse like "we don't have cheese, sorry". My friend was instead treated like a child and was given cuisine-and-style lesson in front of everybody else just because he/she "dared" to ask for cheese on seafood. When asked for explanations about the rude behaviour, owner said "she does not work for money, just for passion, so she wouldn't mind sending customers out of her restaurant" - she said it happened before - "if they do not seem to understand the value of her cuisine and the richness in her recipes". Still, my friend was utterly offended by the service, he obviously refused to order something else - he is not a baby boy, after all, and the dinner ended then. My worst customer service experience ever in a restaurant. We paid a lot and the party was completely ruined.
