Cafe Murano

This was very much a case of service over substance. Some of the staff were lovely but we were not advised if the chef would accommodate a small tweak until the food arrived. The food was average and not worth the cost. A first course of bruschetta was cold, only one was seasoned and some of the rocket was black around the edges. We were charged extra for the potatoes we had instead of polenta. The braised ox cheek was delicious but it was the only stand out plate. A meal for two, with two glasses of wine was a few pounds short of £100 which I wouldn’t have minded for delicious food and exceptional service. We won’t be going back.
