We are passionate about the exquisite wine and food of Italy; together we will take you on a memorable journey through the many different regions of our country.

Rosso was born in a wine cellar. We were sipping excellent wine, enjoying an amazing variety of cheeses and charcuterie. One thing led to another and another bottle of wine had to be tried. Then we had to try the patron’s pasta and, of course, more wine to taste. Oh, and a bit more cheese and cured meats!

This was the beginning of our journey. Now we want to bring you that particularly Italian way of sharing mealtimes; chatting with family and friends, tasting an array of regional delicacies and above all discussing the food and wine.

This isn’t just about consumption, it’s about the attitude towards and the passion for the produce.

There’s something about an Italian bottomless brunch that really outdoes the rest

Review Image
Everyone loves a bottomless brunch, but there’s something about an Italian bottomless brunch that really outdoes the rest. Next time you’re heading west on a weekend, make a booking for the new bottomless brunch at Enoteca Rosso. Situated at the Holland Park end of Kensington High Street, the restaurant showcases regional Italian cuisine alongside a carefully curated impressive wine list. Seasonal dishes on the menu include mouth-watering pasta such as Black spaghetti with peas & broad beans served on cauliflower velouté and Infused Nebbiolo eggless tagliatelle served with venison stew.

The weekend bottomless brunch offers a stunning limitless Italian buffet, plus main course and dessert with unlimited Prosecco for 90 minutes for just £35; it really is incredible value for money. The first course features platters of parma ham, mortadella and salami, Italian cheeses and freshly baked foccacia, breadsticks and crackers. A salad bar features tiny balls of melt-in-the-mouth mozzarella, deliciously ripe tomatoes, dished of salads rich with beans, quinoa, bright fresh peppers and olives and grilled slices of artichoke and aubergine. The pièce de résistance however, is an absolutely enormous wheel of gorgonzola, to which one can help oneself thanks to the spoon so thoughtfully stuck in the middle of it. A dangerous concept.

While its’ wholly possible to fill up on the delicacies of the first course, the dishes on offer for the main are simply delicious; with choice of pasta dishes or more brunch-style classics including asparagus and sunny side up eggs or a salmon and avocado club sandwich, the former come highly recommended. We tried the red gnocchi (made with dried tomatoes) served with basil velouté and creamy burrata and a delicately flavoured green spinach ravioli filled with goat’s cheese and lemon, served with olive oil and almond shavings. It was fresh, gentle on the palette and absolutely lovely. An array of individual Italian cakes are available for pudding, a lovely little bite of sweet to finish off a fantastic meal.

The restaurant is huge and while it was relatively sleepy on the sunny Saturday we visited, with the excellent value of the brunch it would be a great option for a boozy birthday brunch. The pastas were superb, so much so I’ll certainly be back soon to try the saffron tagliatelle with lamb ragout and the pink beetroot spaghetti with peas and broad beans.
