Il Padrino

I cannot recommend this restaurant enough. Having lived just around the corner for a year, we finally visited on Saturday and we wish we had been here sooner!

The restaurant is relatively small (30 covers?) and intimate. Lovely linen table cloths and napkins set the tone and the decor is very light and modern.

The food was delicious and extremely good value. The menu focuses on fresh seasonal produce and is not too long which reassures you that everything is fresh. I chose a delicous vegetarian risotto follwed by tortellini and my boyfriend enjoyed an Italian aubergine dish, sea bass and then lemon tart.

We even got a complimentary limoncello!

My husband and I were recommended ll Padrino by my husband's brother, so we thought we would try it out.

The food was fantastic and extremly reasonable, we both had two courses and wine and it came to under £60!!! I could honestly say, probably one of the best italians i have been too.

The Service was excellent. The restaurant is quite small, however, if you are looking for a romantic meal with your partner, it's perfect.

Defintely recommend giving it a try.
