This restaurant offers the best value for money in the Northcote Road / Battersea Rise area. I have been to most of the restaurants and can say that Marzano are very cheap especially given the fact that quality has not been compromised.

An excellent example of what italian cuisine is about, fresh ingredients cooked in house to authentic italian recipes.

Very welcoming to familes.

Changing facilities available.

Warm and friendly service that caters to individual requests with a smile.

My 4.5yr old son's apple jus was probably the tastiest bit of the dinner we had on a Sunday evening, on our way home. Having paid £6.15 for a rough 250ml glass of headache oncoming Chardonnay (the smallest option they have) we were in for a feast of £8.25 Goats cheese / Avocado salad and a £6.40 margarita pizza. What could go wrong with a salad and pizza you think...nothing other then that the salad was a vast amount of supermarket goats cheese, little avocado and drenched in ready-made salad dressing straight from the bottle. The margarita pizza tasted like rubber, mozzarella topping smelled of chemicals and dough was like cardboard. Luckily the friendly waiters made the experience a little less painful but overall the restaurant has little ambience plus a very un-exciting menu. Only thing going for it is the location. Unsurprisingly will not return again.

Went there for the first time last Sunday for breakfast with my wife and son. They seemed quite busy at the time but the food did not take long at all considering they were cooking everything as opposed to re heating as the other place down the road does. Staff were friendly and paid attention to us despite being busy and my son got to watch the chef in action. Price was very cheap considering the size of the portions. The only complaint i have is that the portioning was too much we just couldn't finish it.
Will definitely be going back next time i'm in the area as their menu looked quite appetizing.

Have enjoyed an excellent lunch - three courses and coffee. The food had a homecooked charm and the cost was reasonable. We were just a couple but there were a few mums about with babies and small children who seemed well served. The background music was at an acceptable level. Will definitely recommend to friends and visit again ourselves.

I completely concur with the views of the other reviews below. We visited with a group of friends and the service was simply appaling.

Starters took nearly two hours to arrive an no apology was given. The manager was obnoxious and rude and clearly lacking in interpersonal skills.

Our waiter was so embarrassed by the service that he even advised us to walk out without paying! What does that say about the manner in which this venue is run?

Avoid.

Myself and four friends went to Marzano last night. We ordered two cold platters, some bruschetta and pizza. Despite the simplicity of the order it still took one and a half hours for the starters to arrive. Other parties simply left before any food arrived. When we complained to the manager he was unapologetic, confrontational and rude. Needless to say we will not go back.

We went here last night and will never go again. It wasn't busy when we went in but it took them ages to take our order.

We had to wait ages to get served our food (it was much busier by this point) and had to send it back because it was cold! The waiter reluctanly took it back and heated it up but with no hint of an apology.

When the reheated food came back it was adequate.

We then had to go to the bar to pay the bill as they had no intention of clearing our plates or asking of we enjoyed our meal.

We would not go back there again!

very disappointed by the level of service by the staff and management. The manager refused to assist us and give his name or deal with our complaints. We attended this Resturant on 21/04/09 in the evening and were very upset when we were refused a outside table while other members of the public were allowed. We wished for a outside table as one of our party is a smoker, we could clearly see that outside tables were not all being used.

Sadly disappointing as the food is quite good and affordable, but the service woeful. We waited half an hour trying to catch someone's eye and ended up fetching the dessert menu from the bar ourselves - with only 4 tables occupied in the whole place. Noone even came to collect our payment at the end of the meal.

The shared platters - baked camembert and mezze - are very good.

Very unprofesional staff, obviously not trained to be helpful. Also very very child-unfriendly.

Avoid. There are plenty more better genuine Italians around
