I've been to Strada on Marylebone street on Sunday the 10th of October for lunch with my family.I'd been to other brunches before and despite the fact that I like the menu a lot a never really liked service there but always paid it anyway without making a fuss.I work as a manager in a restaurant too and previously had worked as a waitress too and whenever I go to a restaurant I give a credit to other who work there.I understand that they can be busy, even tired of people wanting always to go to the ONLY table which is not prepared and so on. But this time my credit limit has exceeded. We had something import to celebrate and we wanted our lunch to be enjoyable.I had chosen Marylebone street Strada as I know the area as a quite a posh one and would expect the service to be much better compared to the other branches.I and my family have been very patient through the lunch as we just wanted to spent a nice afternoon together. We didn't really care when we asked for a high chair and it never came or that the waiter that waited on us hasn't been specially kind as well as that our pastas 3 risottos frutti di mare hasn't been really good)even when the same "nice" waiter came 15 min after we ordered 2 Panzerotti porcini as our main saying that they have none I didn't get upset just asked to bring the meat we had order for my fiancée and the rest of us will only have a dessert afterwards. But.. when it finally came to the bill I got really furious. Not only our "nice" waiter brought us the bill before the coffees but also wanted us to pay for the 2 pastas we had never had! But still having had some patience left simply asked to take them out of the bill. It was very nice of the "nice" waiter saying sorry for that and taking the bill away ONLY so he could bring it back with only ONE pasta(we hadn't had)on it!I asked for a new bill with no service on it obviously but anyway got it with it!!!!After ALL what could have I expected??? DEFINITELY NOT COMING BACK!!!

I have been there twice for lunch - the first time about 4 years ago and I had a great meal - the place was indeed very busy and the service was excellent. I went there again last Thursday and again had an excellent meal - only one thing the tables were a little close together. I am from Gloucestershire and came in by train for an appointment in New Cavendish Street. A crowd came in while I was there and wanted about 4 - 5 tables and they happily agreed and pushed tables together - the crowd would appear to be local people and this speaks well for the restaurant. I would go again when I am next in the area which may be in about 6 months time.

Good food, slighty 'jammed' for space. Otherwise a great little restaurant.
