I'm not used to London prices but still was a little very surprised to be charged £5.95 for a 2/3 bottle of lager; also £1.80 for a tonic water, which was ordered without ice but nevertheless came with ice. I was nearly caught by the added 12.5% service charge. I wondered how I had missed this on the menu but then I saw at the bottom of the bill 'a 12.5% discretionary service charge has been added'. On the grounds of the perceived high drink prices and the relatively slow service due to us having little time, I was quick witted enough to have it removed.

Bertorelli's claims to be a top wine-bar and restaurant on London's much coveted Charlotte St. But watch the bar very closely when choosing your wine. You might not get what you ordered.

Went to this restaraunt Friday evening 27.June.08 ordered a typical Italian Minestrone soup for my starter which can only be described as water with vegetables that had been boiled to death floating in the bowl after rejecting this dish as unacceptable I then waited a good half an hour before my main dish appeared which was Pan Fried Chicken, why this dish was served on a large plate I have no idea as the portion was so small they could have used a saucer, after complaining to the server twice he did offer his apology but did nothing! Summary: Extremely Disappointing!
