This place truly is a rare and beautiful find. My partner and I were so happy to find this restaurant, and have never eaten better Pizza since, it's exceptional. The atmosphere is so friendly, decor quite dated and a little messy, but charming all the same. We love it, and look forward to eating there every time we go

Oh San Marco. what a joy to discover, when I first visited I was delighted with the price, the service and most importantly the food- the the ravioli is completely delicious- and the pizza is one of the best I've ever tried.
I like watching my food being made, the chef there makes your pizza in front of your eyes with delectable skill. I have taken friends and family and have recommended to everyone, and they all were impressed- It stomps on the accepted chain Italian restaurant experience- which you will never buy into after going. If your looking for a little secret gem where your custom is genuinely appreciated and your treated as an individual- then go here.
We need rare places like this to cut out the homogenised stuff our high streets are full of- it would be a real tragedy to see this place beaten by this recession and I make it a personal mission to spread the word and keep its doors open for all our sakes!

The food at San Marco is authentic Italian, with a range of dishes which enables you to put together an interesting menu. Look out for the specials - the fish soup is brilliant as is the veal chop - but they are only on from time to time. As you would expect the pasta is excellent too. The service is friendly and this is one of the few family run restaurants in London. With low prices for both food and drink San Marco represents outstanding value for money.
