Simply lebanese (formaerly Albustan) was an experience for us as we never had lebanese before the waitress explained to us the menu and helped us order and especially with the main course; Simply lebanese offers everyday a dish of a day which is worth trying as it introduces you to the real authentic lebanese food and culture so we had some mezze followed by their dish of the day and a grill dish which made the experience truly authentic. I recommend it highly as I have been converted to lebanese food and by the way you can get a book Simply Lebanese written by their chef which will truly convert you; do try itand see for yourself.

Albustan now is called Simply Lebanese after the book written by the chef about lebanese food;I went there with a group of people for the first time the food was fantastic and very reasonable and the service very hospitable, they made us really special and we had a great evening we bought the book all of us as we wanted to cook the food we have just eaten and the host/owner made sound so easy and simple; we loved it and it is now our favourite restaurant especially lunchtime as the have an £8=00/cover three course menu and it is great value and we can eat our favourites at a fraction of the price; Great Restaurant YOU SHOULD TRY IT!

Do not go to this restaurant!! We simply could not believe it!
The food was nice, but there wasn't a lot of it! The owner offered us a mixed plate of starters when we arrived, and we went for it. We were given three 8" plates with little bits of humous and the like on them, and when the bill arrived, we'd been charged £30 for EACH PLATE !!!!! We'd also been charged £6 for a 4" plate of fries. Say little more!!
When we questioned the bill, the owner dropped it by £45 immediately, then started shouting at us because we questioned it further. She even made racist comments!
She demanded £50 a head. The experience was worth £20 a head.
Unbelievable. Disgraceful!! Do not go here!
