Because of its location on the corner of Trafalgar Square, the Texas Embassy Cantina has become something of a tourist trap. The menu is basically Tex-Mex with a pleasant interior. They can cater for private parties of up to 120 people and provide outside seating on the pavement.

I went to the Texas Embassy last night and had a wicked time! There were four of us and we sat on a booth in the back of the restaurant. We had a round of margaritas (my was on the rocks and well made the other girls had frozen and they were just as good). Dinner was good I had a faijta salad and was very jealous of my firend's southern friend steak and mash potatos (an Southern American classic.) The service just added to the night - we had an attentive not to mention adorable waiter who took care of us!

I highly recommend this place as a fantastic first stop on a night on in London. See you there :)

Make sure you are hungry when going to the Texas Embassy, the portions are huge and the food tastes lovely. My favourite is the Chicken Fajita and if you happen to have any space left, try their Pastel Tres Chocolate that is to die for!

Having lived in Texas for 5 years I very much enjoyed the Texas Embassy. The food is very authentic and their frozen Margaritas are fabulous. Best of all, when we were about to pay the bill we realised thet they are included in the happy hour price!

I'm an American that has been living in London for years and I love the Texas Embassy! I go in all the time be it for dinner with friends (I love the chimichangas and southern fried steak) or Happy Hour for margaritas and queso with homemade chips - they even have live music on the week ends. The service is always decent and friendly It's my home away from home...

I have to say that I thought I'd try it, even given the very mixed reviews just to make my own mind up.

The food was very tasty, but slightly overpriced for the portion sizes, I'd say my main course should really have been about £9, rather than £12.

Didn't really leave a tip, as our waitress was a trainee and hadn't really got the hang of customer service, and brought us two wrong dishes. Whilst waiting for a member of our group, another member of staff caught us at the door to say we'd underpaid for not paying our optional tip. He then came back out and asked us again. Really put a dampner on our evening, it has to be said.

Overall, very tasty, if overpriced. Service could
