Mountain View Restaurant

This is a real gem in East Greenwich - the quality of their takeaways is out of this world and their staff are so friendly and welcoming. I cannot recommend this place enough.

We came across this restaurant on a search of the internet before a trip to Greenwich. The food was excellent. Highly recommend the prawn dhansak, chilli garlic chicken, and bhindi bhaji. The naan bread melts in your mouth! The staff were friendly and quick service. On Wednesdays you get a starter/main/side for £9.95. Next time we go to London we will definitely be going here again!

I couldn't agree with Newbie more! I had never been to Mehak before but my boyfriend and I discovered it on a rainy Sunday evening when we were in need of some good comfort food. The service was fabulous - very friendly and helpful - and I have to say that they served the best indian food I have ever had. The menu was wide ranging, and for someone like me who doesn't like things to be over-the-top spicy there was plenty of subtley flavoured dishes to choose from. Really wonderful. I have their take-away menu in a very safe place...

When we heard that Mehak was having a face lift, we worried that it would lose some of its charm and quirkiness. Instead we have been delighted to find that, with the arrival of a new chef, the menu and food has also been transformed into some really top-notch Indian food. The menu has some fantastic new dishes which I have never seen on the menus of your bog-standard curry-house and what's even better is that the prices have not been pushed up. So you can now get an excellent meal at cheap-and-cheerful prices. I would recommend it to anyone!
