Singapura offer a collation of South-East Asian dishes combined with some interesting and inventive additions. Tables are set well apart, and the high-ceilinged room gives an added feeling of space. Catering for private parties of up to 150 guests is available upon request. Pavement seating is also provided.

All In London Review
Enjoyable surroundings and decor ideally placed for business folk!
The menu is a bit of a challenge as there are so many options – so for a first visit you might opt for one of the set menus so that you get a feel for the food. I recall that I enjoyed what I had – my colleague ordered – although there were one or two dishes that were rather spicy hot – so take care when ordering if you have a sensitive palate!
The décor is quite formal – although you are offered Western cutlery as well as chop sticks but it is also strangely feminine with artistic flowers and pink/peach tablecloths.
I haven’t been there in the evening but I guess its location would mean that it would mostly appeal to business folk. But it also promotes parties and indicates that it has live music (salsa!) and other entertainment options.
The web site states “Food from Singapore known as Nonya. Nonya cuisine originated from the marriage of Chinese traders to local Malay women along the Straits settlements of Penang, Malacca and Singapore during the 15th to the 19th centuries. Inevitably, this resulted in the mixing of Chinese cuisine with the use of indigenous Malay spices and aromatic herbs of the region”. But there are other Asian influences as well.
And they have a two hour “Cook Asian” workshop for groups of 20-40 people there as well (£60 plus VAT a head and this includes a three course meal) – which I might explore as an alternative entertaining event or for something different to do on a friends night out.
