Shiok

Shiok is a great find and near my work. I'd been a couple of times & liked it, so recently I gave a Birthday party there for 28. Kenne, the manager & his friendly staff did a wonderful job and the whole evening was a great success. I had lots of compliments about the food and the place has a really good atmosphere. There were beautiful flowers everywhere & nothing was too much trouble for them. A good reason to work around Holborn!

I visited this restaurant with a colleague while in London (Coram St) on business. I had the fragrant rolls followed by the nyonya laksa. The fragrant rolls were very tasty, and had great texture. The laksa was superb! In fact I liked it so much I took a whole group of colleagues back less than a week later! They all enjoyed the food too. For a medium budget restaurant I can't complain at all. The staff were friendly, and were happy to make suggestions and offer advice. There was also a good selection of wines. The only negative point I could find was that the furniture could have been a bit more comfortable. But by the time the food arrived I didn’t notice, I was too busy enjoying the food
