They took hours to give us our food.
Went to Peri Bay for a friend's birthday - party of 10 - we'd made reservations for 7.30 and the restaurant had 3 other tables occupied when we arrived.
It took them almost half and hour to take our first order of drinks and our main courses only started arriving at 10 pm. The last person to receive their main got it at 10.45.
It's a new restaurant, and it was the sole waitress' first night and therefore it's understandable that there would be hiccups, but this was ridiculous. The waitress and the manager were apologetic, but some of the manager's excuses were pathetic - including "we weren't expecting this many covers, people turned up off the street" and "We're sorry it's taking so long - it's just that you all ordered different things" - which is expecially ridiculous in a mexican restaurant because it's essentially all the same thing, only prepared in a different way. In the end they only took £20 off our bill and a round of half shots of bailey's - which was barely adequate for the lack of service in a service industry.
Peri Bay is a fully licensed dining bar & restaurant offering a variation of Mauritian dishes combined with Indian, Creole, Chinese and Italian cuisine.
