It's also why each one of our pasta sauces are homemade so you can be sure you are getting only fresh, tasty ingredients every time. Our fruits and vegetables are locally sourced and the things that make our food really special are imported directly from Italy, resulting in nothing but simple, delicious dishes.

The boss is a diamond, the staff are lovely.
They use the best vegetables ever fromantic the best greengrocers in a 50 mile radius.
Pizza so tasty you just want another as soon as ur done. Garlic brad roles are fantastic and as for the cookies oh man!!!
All food always freshly prepared, tasty and generous portions. Relaxed atmosphere, ideal for family meals . and friendly welcoming staff.
Gloomy place. Prison benches. Hostile staff. Barely edible food - apart from the coffee, which was very good. I will NEVER frequent this place again.
Cheap friendly and tasty. How can you moan about a massive £4 pizza?

This place used to be good but is under new management, they play loud very bad music (including MC Hammer when I was there) and the place is filthy, there are virtually no toppings on the pizza. Go elsewhere, much better places about, even dominos is better than this.
I absolutely love this pizzeria, i have been going there since it opened, and the quality is always high, and the ingredients fresh. The breakfasts are delicious,I could go there for breakfast, lunch and dinner! It is child friendly and my kids love it too!

Lovely Pizzas - Have to disagree about the "too much Cheese" thing, you can never have too much cheese and the quality is superb. I live 2 mins from Papa Dels and always pop in when I want a good, tasty, classier and authentic pizza. Dont eat in - the backless, tree carved seats are not comfortable and having to share a table with people you do not know has a cheap canteen feel... Well worth a visit though :-)
Papa Del's pizzas are very tasty - I have no idea how authentic they are but the taste is superb. They are reasonably priced for the size, and have some good deals on too. Especially the £3 Pizza or Pasta after 9pm. The too much cheese comment is true occasionally, but because of the wonderful taste of these pizzas I'm not going to complain about too much cheese!
Also, they have a wooden long boat filled with tasty cookies, which can only be a good thing ;)
I'm a regular at Papa Del's and I must say I have never been dissapointed. The pizzas are fresh and use a great tomato base. I'd have to disagree with the comment they use too much cheese, I'd say the reverse was true. The £3 after 9pm deal is great value, and the 2 toppings I recommend for this deal are Goats Cheese and Pepperoni, finished with some Chilli Olive Oil Sause. Highly recommend anyone to go there!
Have you ever craved a good American-style breakfast? Well, look no further than Papa Del's which serves delicious large pancakes with lashings of maple syrup, fruit, ice cream, etc. in very unusual surroundings. Also THE BEST pizzas, freshly cooked by a great chef - the boss himself! The staff are very eager to please and nothing is too much trouble. Oh.... and did I mention the milkshakes? Delicious! And if you go in before 11.00 a.m. you get £1.00 off a breakfast dish. Well worth the journey to Highgate Station. Bon Appetit!
have been here on numerous occasions, i can agree they do pile on the cheese on the take away pizzas. What I can suggest is you take time to sit down and eat the "£3 pizza after nine deal" the ingredients are fresh the base thin and crispy and the atmosphere is great, I can even forgive the textured table tops. If that is not enough for you the owner looks like a healthier Paul Sorvino.

I must say, I absolutely disagree. I used to order my pizza's online until i discovered Papa dels restaurant. I found the ingredients to be incredibly fresh and filling. The pizza is always delivered on time and to a fantastic standard. Further more the food when eating in is absolutely top and I would recommend it to anyone. Perhaps you caught them on a bad day.
I went for a takeaway pizza last week at Papa Dels and was disappointed to find it possibly the worst pizza i've ever had, at a price of about 25% more than I normally pay.
The base was soggy and toppings were sparse except for a thick layer of cheap cheese.
I will never be going there again.
Have your say
