While the interior is fairly pleasant and they have some pretty special beers from around the world, Harlem Sole Foods disappointed in every other respect. At nearly £25 per head (including a couple of normal beverages each) we got food that was sub-standard. The fries were soggy and obviously just defrosted/shallow fried, the portions were miserly (and at a lower quality than a chain such as nando's) and the service bordered on the hostile.
To top it off, when the bill came and they'd added the 'optional' service charge of £25 or 12%, the waitress began to argue with us when we said that we wanted to decide how much service charge we wanted to pay!! We live in Bayswater so we know that there are some pretty decent places to eat out at near this so lesson learned I guess.
Harlem serves a good selection of cocktails at the bar downstairs whilst the restaurant upstairs serves American cuisine.
