Xich Lo Vietnamese Restaurant

We had a great meal at Xich Lo, going for their 7-dish set dinner. The meal started with a free appetiser of succulent Tamarind-marinated beef with coriander-amazing taste! Then 2 sets of beautifully presented starters including exotic veg &chicken salad, seared scallop with lotus root and spicy potato mash and a delicious crab meat consommee. For mains a choice of halibut or roast duck breast, both with house tasty rice. We had the fish but after the delicious starters, this was just ok.Then dessert with exotic fruit, coconut sorbet and passion fruit creme brulee - again sensational! Overall impression: great haute cuisine Vietnamese fusion food, friendly service, good value!
