It may not be Vegas but the Hippodrome Casino is a fine way to throw your money down the drain – and enjoy it! What stood here once was the West End club to end all West End clubs but then it got highly naff. And when something that big gets that naff, all you can do is gut it and stick a casino in there.
What the Hippodrome has got that other London casinos don’t, is a knowing style. There are proper craps tables, big roulette wheels and you wouldn’t feel out of place in a suit and tie or a slinky frock. Dressing up is encouraged - unlike some shoddy ‘casinos’ where turning up in anything more suave than a tucked-in England shirt would be equivalent to walking into a Wetherspoon’s in a Rick Owens skirt, sidling up to the fruit machine and babbling into a person’s ear about directional fashion and how you’re bringing back Crocs.
Dress smart + proper casino games + friends = a good time at the Hippodrome Casino.
