If only those who enforced Prohibition in the early 20th century had known that less than a 100 years later it would inspire dozens of hip bars around the world, they might think twice about the usefulness of their efforts.
Cahoots near Carnaby Street takes the theme further by being set in the disused Kingly Court tube station, once upon a time used as an air raid shelter. The decor pays homage to its past tube carriage seating and signage, and there's an extensive menu of "black market cocktails" that's heavy on whisky and gin. They've also recently announced they're expanding over the road, with a venue emulating a station ticket hall plus a secret, reservations-only bar downstairs.
