Interior designer and hospitality favourite Tom Dixon OBE's CV is expanding by the day, adding a flagship shop in a hip shopping development here, a Milanese restaurant there, hotels galore and a classic boat called the Glass Room moored on the Embankment that's part of twin boats Bateaux. As the name suggests it has an all-glass structure that offers views of landmark buildings, and Dixon's bold colours and striking decor makes you forget you're veering dangerously close to tourist trappery.
