With immersive gaming, travel documentaries, exhibitions, trippy animations and even space travel possible, VR has been offering a welcome escape from the actual realities of the pandemic.
Without a personal VR headset to hand you can dip your toe into the virtual universe at Otherworld VR, a bar and virtual reality gaming venue that comes with private pods for groups of up to eight people. Playing can earn you virtual DreamCoin currency, which you can then exchange for drinks or more time playing. There are currently 16 games to choose from, varying from experiencing life as a fisherman to shooting the baddies in an evil alien empire.
