It's almost time to finish work and the sunshine is still beaming; it's that most marvelous time of the year when you still have several hours of warm daylight to do something outdoors past 5pm. A picnic in the park beckons, but you don't have much in the fridge apart from leftover noodles and a couple of apricots. Well fear not!
Several of London's best pubs, restaurants and delis can provide you with a readymade hamper with all your fave ingredients. Our favourites include Brindisa if you fancy Spanish flavours, with olives, Serrano ham and cold gazpacho, or for French wine and wiffy cheese (always a winner in the heat) go for Provisions, who will deliver on the same day within 4 miles of their Holloway Road shop. For the classic British picnic head to The Jones Family Kitchen by St James' Park, who will put together scotch eggs and sausage rolls paired with Pommery Brut Champagne, and will even provide the cutlery and Champagne glasses.
