Go old school at The Cheshire Cheese

Serve up a bit of traditional London
This must try is connected to: Cheshire Cheese

The Cheshire Cheese is a great little pub on Fenchurch Street; one of the few that were rebuilt after the Great Fire of London. These days, narrow staircases and dark halls lead the way in this fascinating building – but don’t worry, at the end there’s a traditional lip-lapping British menu jammed with Fish and Chips, Steak and Kidney Pudding, Crab and Coriander Potato Cakes and Poached Salmon Salads. Of course, no dessert list would be complete with the classic Spotted Dick.

The clientele is local, so prepare to come across plenty of journos and city boys in suits enjoying a lunchtime whiskey. We just say, ‘tuck in and enjoy’.
