The Frontline Club in Paddington is a members' club for journalists, offering panel discussions, screenings and other events focused on investigative journalism and war reporting. The club was founded in 2003 by former members of Frontline News TV, a cooperative of freelance filmmakers.
Membership fees support the Frontline Club Charitable Trust which in turn supports the programme of events. The venue also has a restaurant and rooms (Julian Assange stayed here for several months while he was remanded in custody in the UK.) However non-members are able to visit the restaurant and book stays here too, so if you fancy an evening mingling with journalists, academics and activists, this is the place to go.
