The sounds section of the British Library's website is a treasure trove of field recordings from far flung locations, famous speeches, interviews and folk songs.
With 90,000 recordings, you're just as likely to find traditional songs recorded in Uganda as Scottish folk music, Ken Campbell interviewing Derek Jarman, animal sounds, and oral histories on arts, welfare and law among other subjects.
