Budding bike riders have been attacking Swains Lane for decades.
Since London isn’t blessed with the stiffest gradients in the country, this mega steep hill is an anomaly. Winding up right next to Highgate Cemetery, Swains Lane reaches a gradient of 18%, which is enough to take it out of even the toughest amateur bike rider.
So, get in gear, don some fake (or real) sideburns and unleash your inner Wiggo. Allez!!
