You know that feeling when you start noticing your precious signature scent on all and sundry? You’re unlikely to have that problem if you shop at Harrods’ Salons des Parfums which has a selection of the world’s rarest fragrances, some exclusive to them.
11 perfume houses have their very own mini-boutiques here, the idea being that unlike the traditional ground floor perfume counters there’s enough separation between each to ensure there’s no contamination between scents. Rare perfumes by Chanel, Tom Ford, Dior and Clive Christian are sold here; the latter created the most expensive fragrance in the world especially for the perfume room’s launch, priced at £143,000. Hopefully they’ll give us a free sample.
