Where: King’s Cross Pond Club
Londoners just got themselves a new lido, except this isn’t any old swimming pool – it’s actually an art installation called ‘Of Soil and Water’. The artist describes it as “collaborating with nature, the artwork encourages the viewer to participate in that experience.” In practice this means a freshwater pond (the only man-made one in the UK in fact) that you can swim in surrounded by the never-ending construction of the King’s Cross area. But don’t worry, the people behind the pond have ensured there’s plenty of wildlife around too by filling it with pretty water lilies and marsh marigolds.
