Take a pottery class in the church with half a spire

... and perhaps some bellydancing.
This must try is connected to: Islington Arts Factory

Next time you're in the vicinity of Holloway Road, look out for a church that appears to have had half its steeple chopped off. This was once the Camden Road New Church, a splendid piece of gothic architecture built in 1873 that has since been deconsecrated and is now home to the Islington Arts Factory.

This multipurpose venue hosts pottery lessons and regular exhibitions, as well as a variety of dance classes for adults and children ranging from samba to ballet. You'll also find tai chi, bellydancing and the odd taxidermy workshop taking place.

Prices are kept low to encourage the local community to get excited about art whatever their age, with an annual art auction helping to fund the centre's activities.
