Take a secret walk along the Thames Path

A hidden gem with plenty of pubs and pits-stops

Where: Rotherhithe to Tower Bridge

Starting at Rotherhithe station, walking alone this "secret" route keeps you along the side of the Thames until you arrive at Tower Bridge station, past some of London's most infamous pubs. It is usually very quiet, with few people exploring this pathway despite its proximity to well-known landmarks.

While the whole journey can be done in around 20 minutes, there are plenty of places to stop off on the way. After emerging from the station and walking down Railway Avenue you find the Brunel Museum, which explores the history of the Thames Tunnel. By following the Thames Path after this, you will pass The Mayflower Pub, the King's Stairs Gardens,  Bermondsey Beach and Butler's Wharf, all while you get fantastic views of the river the entire time with plenty of beauty spots on either side of it.
