While the London Dungeon is great – we especially love the costumed ghouls hanging around London Bridge and tempting you in – the tower of London is the one that does it for us. All that architecture, all that history and those poor princes in the tower. And while we love the Tower of London (the UK’s most visited historic attraction btw) by day, it’s even better by night.
The Tower Twilight Tour takes place, naturally, after dark and is so spooky you have to be over the age of 12 to ‘enjoy’ it. The tour gives all the usual gruesome stories and spooky sights but the bellowing sound of your Yeoman Warder’s voice is made even more evocative as night falls. Tours take place on Sundays and start at 7pm, costing £27.50 per adult.
