Japanese restaurant Tokyo Diner have launched a strong contender for London's next food trend: the 'Fakey Cakey' a layered, colourful 'cake' made with seasoned rice and a combination of raw fish, seafood and vegetables (there are vegan options too).
Almost too pretty to eat, they've been an instant hit with erm, Instagrammers. The story goes that after years of making these behind closed doors for private parties, Tokyo Diner came up with the idea to sell these to the public after closing due to the pandemic, in a bid to keep business going till it's safe to reopen.
