Next time you’re having a stroll by the Southbank Centre, stray off the riverside walk and you’ll find this collection of cafes and shops which have been designed to look like they’re part of a quaint English village.
A lot of the shops double as artists’ studios where you can buy clothes, jewellery and stuff for the home, often from the creator themselves. Grab a seat outdoors and a beer from Studio Six or a crepe from the House of Crepes; on sunny days the place is as buzzy as Brick Lane.
