Winter cocktails in a Tipi @ Wigwambam

Outside drinkies - but without the chills

Where: Wigwambam (Queen of Hoxton) – 1 Curtain Road

If there’s one thing that gets our – frozen – goat about winter, it’s the lack of opportunity for outside drinking. We’ve tried sitting in tunnels on the Regents Canal, standing under bright lights in supermarket car parks and sitting in parks with picnics directly after vigorous exercise. None of it works and none of it is fun.

We might have known that The Queen of Hoxton would come to our rescue. Running between October and March, Wigwambam takes up residence on the roof at the Shoreditch venue. Here you’ll find a tipi with light shows projected on the walls, blankets, warm rum, gin and whisky cocktails, plus music and entertainment. And most importantly, it’s a semi-inside-space that still feels like an outdoor oasis.
