Sloane Shopping Area Christmas Party – December 6th, 5.30-8pm

Do you think Christmas has lost all its traditional values?

Help is at hand this year - the Sloane Shopping Area is rustling up a truly glamorous yet traditional Christmas shopping party in the heart of Chelsea. Sing carols, meet St. Nicholas, enjoy a host of festive entertainment, help raise money for charity and indulge in a spot of light night shopping for your loved ones – it’s the perfect event to get you, your friends and your family into the Christmas spirit in style!

Wednesday, 6th of December from 5.30-8pm will see the entire Sloane area – including Sloane Square, Duke of York Square, Sloane Street, Pont Street and Ellis Street – transformed into an enchanting winter wonderland.

Based on the theme of ‘Traditional Winter Glamour’, the Sloane area will be adorned with festive lighting and winter decorations. Visitors can enjoy festive refreshments in front of the main stage in Sloane Square, which will host Christmas carols from The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and a performance from The Holy Trinity Choir.

Guests can admire spectacular visual art performances and festive street performers such as winter ballerinas, toy soldier drummers and winter swans, in addition to an extra special Christmas performance by The London Gospel Choir. Hundreds of local children will be taking part in a festive cavalcade with St. Nicholas and shops in the area such as Peter Jones, Harvey Nichols, Tiffany & Co, Jimmy Choo and Bulgari will be opening late and creating special Christmas themed shopping incentives.

Weary feet can take advantage of the complimentary rickshaws and horse drawn carriages on offer to other points of interest at the event, such as an impressive ice sculpture outside the Millennium Hotel and a champagne marquee based at Ellis Street, which will be closed off to mark the occasion.

This year, the annual Sloane Association Christmas Party is raising money for the charity Macmillan Cancer Relief. Macmillan volunteers will be a visible throughout the evening manning information desks and collecting donations in addition to the celebrated Chelsea Pensioners.

Participating stores in the area will be staying open until 8pm for The Sloane Association Christmas Event and will be offering a number of festive shopping incentives such as drinks instore and gifts with purchase.
