Kingston Christmas Lights Switch On 2014

Join us in Kingston for our traditional Kingston Christmas Lights Switch-on Event, this year merging the magical world of Narnia’s The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe with music and traditional Christmas entertainment across the town centre.

Making the first steps into Kingston will be as though it were through the wardrobe door to Narnia itself, bewildering but entrancing. Think lavish stilt trees, frost giants, fauns and an Ice Queen.

Within the Market Place 2 amazing acrobats will stun Kingston guests as they perform a beautiful balancing routine set in the largest snow globe you’re likely to have ever seen.

Just around the corner 3 award winning magicians will be performing unique interactive illusion stage shows, featuring a wardrobe and scenes to tell the story of Narnia.

The top of the high street plays host to a magical live music, movement and lighting spectacular in which six The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe inspired themed drummers composed of light and sound transform the Kingston high street.

The main stage will be hosted by the fast rising DJ and producer duo Wide Awake and MTV’s Maya Jama, overseeing live music, games and giveaways in the lead up to the main event at 6pm when the lights go on.

With so much more to see such as Betty Balloon, School Choirs, Reindeer, Santa’s Grottos, Face Painting, Food Markets, Christmas Bears and 3D Art, there will be something of interest guaranteed for all of the family.
