The leading UK player on the mountain dulcimer, Dan plays this instrument with precision and delicacy. He is also a highly accomplished and stylish acoustic guitarist. He adopts a unique approach to British folk melodies, mixing medieval sounds with jazzy chords and rhythms. As well as his beautiful instrumental music, Dan sometimes accompanies his fine baritone vocals on folk and classic songs. On a specially tailored guitar and using digital effects and sampling, Dan has developed a unique palette of electronic sounds full of imagination and atmosphere.
