Wine personality Olly Smith invites you to taste 50 Great Portuguese Wines

Wine personality Olly Smith unveils his 50 Great Portuguese Wines next month at Paramount in central London on Thursday 18th April.

Olly, best known for his wine matching skills on BBC1’s Saturday Kitchen, has been busy tasting through Portugal’s finest wines to cherry pick a selection that show off the flair and unique character of modern Portuguese winemaking, but that also represent exceptional value for money, focused on wines priced at £7 - £30.

He said: “Portuguese wines are a treasure trove of undiscovered gems. 'Great Value' is my theme for this year's 50 Great and there's never been a better time to explore the excitement of Portugal's outstanding flavours across their vineyards. From the sandy beaches to the wild highlands, the skill of local winemakers devoted to their awesome range of local Portuguese grapes has to be tasted to be believed."

Consumers can taste through the full selection of 50 wines whilst enjoying Portuguese inspired canapés. Olly Smith will also be on hand at the event to answer questions and talk through his selection.
